Dale A. Durfee, 76, passed away on Feb. 28, 2025. He was born on Feb. 9, 1949, in The Dalles, Oregon, to John and Claudie Durfee.
Dale grew up in The Dalles, graduating from The Dalles High School before attending Casper Junior College. He went on to work for Pacific Power, dedicating 35 years to his career.
On Nov. 24, 1969, Dale married Sherri Herman in Kalispell, Montana. Together, they built a loving family, raising their children — Stasia Custer, J.J. Durfee, and Jacian Carnes. Dale was also a proud grandfather to Shaylee, Lizzie, Kayden, Cole, Dylan, Cruz, and Damien.
A true outdoorsman, Dale had a deep love for fishing, hunting, camping, and coaching sports. Whether casting a line, sitting around a campfire, or encouraging young athletes from the sidelines, he found joy in sharing his passions with others.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, John and Claudie Durfee; his sister, Rene Barnes; and his brother, Darrell Durfee. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sherri; his children and grandchildren; and his sister, Nancy.
Dale’s kindness, humor, and unwavering support for his family and friends will be dearly missed.Â
Dale was laid to rest at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, The Dalles.
