Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Curtiss George Buster, age 86, of Lincoln, Montana, joined the Lord on June 4, 2025. Curtiss was born on March 6, 1939, in Helena, Montana, to Frank and Elsie Buster. In 1961, he found the love of his life, Roberta, and they started a family. The two were committed to God and family, whilst sharing lots of adventures and humor along the way.
Curtiss was a role model in every aspect of the phrase and there was no role he played that he could not do well. His God-given ability to find creative solutions to the problems he encountered made him a great mentor. Teaching his loved ones the value of hard work, integrity and honesty coupled with his willingness to listen strengthened the bonds between himself and his family.
Curtiss was an iron worker by trade. His character literally and figuratively welded the dynamic people around him into the family that mourns his passing today. Though we may not foresee what our futures hold, the memories forged in the furnace of life will live on forever. Sometimes all you need is a good story to understand the man he was and how his past shaped him into the father he became. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, whom he cared for and who had the privilege of receiving his undying love.
Curtiss was preceded in death by grandson Matthew Levi Buster in 1996, son Chris Buster in 2020, son Curtiss Buster in 2021, and daughter Jody Buster in 2024. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Roberta Buster; sister Carol; daughter Cindy; daughters-in-law BobbieJean and Jill; nephew Neil; grandkids Tyson, Devan, Kylie, Donovan, Charlie, Chelsey, Jordan, Dianne, and Bruce; granddaughter in-law Nikki; great-granddaughters Annabelle and Marlee; and his furry companion LC.
Ever faithful to God and his family, he will be missed dearly, but is now in heaven, with his kids and joking around with his grandson Matthew.
“Every day is a good day.” — Curtiss Buster
“Well done thy good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:21
