Charles F. Williams, 78, passed away peacefully at his home in Trout Lake, Washington, on June 5, 2025. He was born on Aug. 23, 1946, in Eugene, Oregon. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Green Beret during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Bronze Medal for his bravery. After his service, he earned a postgraduate degree from Portland State University. Charles lived a life marked by quiet strength, dedication, and integrity. He had a passion for nature and being outdoors, never missing the opportunity to hike.
A graveside service will be held at Willamette Nation Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Happy Valley, Oregon, on Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Vets, c/o Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Dr., Hood River, OR 97031.
