Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Donald “Bob” Frazer went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2024, at the age of 91. Bob was born to Ella and R. C. Frazer in Dufur, Ore., in 1932.
After losing his dad when he was 9, he started working for some local ranches to help out his family. He felt strongly about providing for and supporting his family and it was something he continued to do all of his life. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and was discharged in 1952. Upon his return to Dufur, he met the love of his life, Ginger, and married her a year later. They had two children together and were married nearly 60 years when Ginger passed.
Bob worked in many fields, including as a high climber for the U.S. Forest Service, a truck driver for a saw mill, a repairmen for a petroleum company, manager for an insurance company, Harvey Aluminum, manager of a bowling alley, construction, and siding grain elevators. He retired after working for UPS for 20 years. After he retired, he worked for Habitat for Humanity, Sears and was the director of The Last Days of Jesus for several years, which was a passion for him. He took care of Ginger when she became ill and moved to Medford, Ore., with her to be near family when he could no longer care for her on his own. After her passing, he helped his neighbors and worked with his son-in-law on multiple projects and continued to be the cornerstone for his family. He blessed the lives of many, many people with his humor, compassion and willingness to roll up his sleeves and help.
He made it home in time for his anniversary and to celebrate his birthday with Ginger and his son, Don. Those left here include his daughter, Kelley, son-in-law, Ed, and granddaughters Jillian and Olivia.
A celebration of life will be planned for later in the summer. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Last Days of Jesus is suggested.
