Elizabeth "Betty" Arfstrom went to be with our Lord on March 29, 2011. She passed away in Lincoln City, Ore., at the age of 83.
Betty was born in Blue Island, Ill., on Jan. 13, 1928, to Charles and May Adams. She lived in Hood River, Ore., and tended bar at the Hood River Elks Lodge.
Betty enjoyed playing cards, knitting and adored our Pacific Coast. She moved to the Oregon coast (Lincoln City) about 20 years ago, enjoying every second and making beautiful memories.
Betty is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuck" Arfstrom, of Portland, Ore., and Gary Arfstrom, also of Portland; granddaughter Cassandra and her husband, Alex; great-granddaughter Sophia; brother Richard "Dick" Adams; and sister Reeny Hackman, of Hood River.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and two brothers, Robert and Bryan.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Hood River Elks Lodge.
