Aspen Ray Hunter Dawson passed away at his home in Hood River, Ore., on April 19, 2024. Aspen was born April 3, 2000, in Hood River to mother Christina Hilton and father Phillip Dawson. Aspen lived his whole life between Hood River and The Dalles.
Aspen's upbringing was in Hood River, where he attended May Street Elementary School, Wy'east and Hood River Middle School, Hood River Valley High School and Hood River Community Connections Academy. While in middle school, Aspen played on the football team. Aspen enjoyed, football, swimming, drawing, movies, playing pool, gaming, target shooting, loved to cook, and loved his family and friends. Aspen had a few jobs during his short 24 years. He cooked for three years at his grandmother's restaurant, ''Chuby's'' in Odell. He also worked at Sears, The Dollar Store, Heights Shell and Cascade Farm & Outdoor Store.
Aspen in survived by his mother, Christina Hilton; father Phillip Dawson; siblings, Michael Lane, Joshua Belec, Dylan Dawson, Lilee Dawson, and Skye Kuhnle; and grandparents Debbie and Pedro Tellez-Ortiz and Larry Hilton.
