Though she was strong and resilient, Angela Marie Jones Bridges, age 64, died due to complications from cancer on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, at Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon, surrounded by her closest family and friends.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1960, in Portland, Oregon, to George (Bob) Jones and Dolores Sensabaugh. In 1983, she married Gary Bridges, the love of her life. They later moved to Parkdale, Oregon, and together they created Parkdale Gardens, Angela's rare perennial nursery. She spent her life surrounded by the plants, animals, husband, and friends that she loved so dearly. She was an amazing wife, sister, friend, godmother, aunt, gardener, artist, and human being.
Angela is survived by her husband, Gary; sisters Nicole Sensabaugh-Witmer, Tamara Jones-Childs, and Charlita Jones Walker; godchildren Chris Mayes-Cottrell and Lahela King; nephews AJ Farrester, and Kai Jones-Childs; and great-niece Luna Farrester.
Funeral services will be privately held. Please make donations in Angela's name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany, Oregon, Northwest Pilot Project, or The Cottonwood School of Civics and Science Arts Program in Portland.
