Andrew Jesus Hernandez Newton passed away on Aug. 13, 2012, in Richland, Wash., surrounded by family.
Andrew was born April 11, 1990, in Hood River, Ore. He lived in Oregon, residing in Hood River, Cascade Locks, Grants Pass and most recently, Pilot Rock. He graduated from Wishram High School in 2006.
Andrew worked for Mountain West Products LLC. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, cars, videogames and the outdoors. He was a volunteer fire fighter at the Wishram Fire Department. He watched the History and Discovery channels — he loved learning about everything and anything.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Lemuel H. Patten, Roberta K. Niemeyer Patten and Alice Cathleen Meyers Newton.
A memorial service for Andrew will be on Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson’s Tribute Center. Graveside rites will follow at the Upper Valley Cemetery of Parkdale.
Memorials may be made at any Wells Fargo Bank to the Andrew Hernandez Memorial Fund.
