Michael Lynn Milnes, 69, passed away in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 12, 2017, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born May 17, 1948 in Canton, Mo.
Lynn graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy and later earned an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. He worked for several years as a pharmacist in Herrin and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ill., before moving into administration at Good Samaritan, Skyline Hospital in White Salmon, Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte, Colo., Tri Valley Health System in Cambridge, Neb., and Decatur County Hospital and Mercy Health in Leon, Iowa.
Lynn was involved in rotary, optimist and economic development before retiring in Louisville, Ky.
Above all, he loved spending every spare moment with his family, including grandchildren. He enjoyed working with wood, was a craftsman and expert handyman, golfing, reading and camping.
He was preceded in death by parents Stacey Boone and Gladys Lynch Milnes and brother Karl. Mourning his passing are his wife Regina (Jeannie) Skees Milnes, son M. Landry and wife Amy of Los Alamos, N.M. and daughter Staci Anderson and husband John of Paducah, Ky., four grandchildren, brother Melvin of Spokane, and sisters Donn Logsdon and Shirley Livingston of Canton, Mo.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Skyline Foundation in White Salmon.
