Maybell Clara (Montgomery) White Newell, age 95, formerly a 73-year-resident of White Salmon, died in Milwaukie, Ore., on Sept. 7, 2015, of kidney failure.
Maybell was born June 18, 1920, at Strong City, Okla. She had 13 siblings, two of whom died in infancy. She is survived by her brother James. She graduated from High School at Crawford, Okla.
Maybell married Seaborn White on July 3, 1940, in Stevenson. They had two daughters, Darlene and Janice. Seaborn died June 29, 1963.
Maybell married Paul Newell on Aug. 20, 1965, in White Salmon. He died April 8, 2001.
Maybell is survived by daughter Darlene White Burtch of Richland and Janice White Reid of Milwaukie, Ore., six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services for Maybell Newell will be Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in White Salmon.
Place of interment will be at the White Salmon Cemetery, White Salmon.
The family requests that donations be given to the Lupus Foundation or the Arthritis Foundation.
