Leona "Jean" Coleman was born October 14, 1938, to Leo John Nehl and Maude Thurston, in Portland, Ore.
She was born and raised in the Catholic Church. Jean attended and graduated from Immaculta/MaryCrest in Portland, in 1956.
In September of 1956 she married Ervin L. Coleman from Mich, who was in the Navy. Ervin and Leona had three children together, Carron Elaine, Ronell Marie, and Sandra Lynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Sheryl and daughters Carron and Sandra.
Jean lived the last 16 years in Garibaldi, Ore., with her life partner Richard K. Myers.
She also is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Steve and Ronell Prinzing of Redmond, Ore.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held Friday, April 14, 2017, 12:30 p.m. at Autumn Funerals 485 NW Larch Avenue, Redmond, Ore. 97756.
