Joyce Lucille Ziegler of Underwood passed away on March 22, 2019. She was born in Chehalis on Oct. 14, 1942, to Geraldine (Andrus) and John Orlie Olson.
Joyce married James F. Ziegler at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hood River, Ore., on Jan. 10, 1963.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and taught CCD for many years. She was also a member of the Mom’s Club and enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society.
Joyce loved taking pictures and family time. She made beautiful flower arrangements, swags, wreathes and trees.
Joyce (mom/grandma) will be missed by her husband Jim Ziegler of Underwood; son Jamie Ziegler and his wife Holly of Lake Oswego, Ore.; daughter Jeana Ladiges and her husband Jaylin of White Salmon; grandchildren Kylie (Morgan) Holmgren, Chelsea, Mattie and Zoe Ziegler and Jarin (Nicole) and Jenson Ladiges; two great grandchildren (Jace and Nessa); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Loretta.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a reception for church and non-church members at noon, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Salmon. The burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Underwood.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Â
