JoAnn Hilkey

JoAnn loved sightseeing and traveling along with playing bingo. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she so enjoyed talking about them.

JoAnn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Hilkey, of Metolius, Ore.; her children: daughters Christina (and Patrick) Story, of Kaaawa, Hawaii, and Carolyn Elizarde (and her fiancé, Laurentino Vasquez), of Astoria, Ore.; sons Ron Hilkey, of The Dalles, Ore., and Anthony Hilkey, of Metolius, Ore.; grandchildren: Tashina Flores (and her fiancé, Adam Fletcher), of Anchorage, Alaska, Charles Arthur Hart IV, of China, Melinda (and Gregg) Moore, of La Pine, Ore., Dominique (and Dustin) Burdett, of Seaside, Ore., Peter Ayala (and his fiancée, Jennifer Lowe) of Prineville, Ore., Paige Hart, of Warrenton, Ore., Jordan Hilkey, of Mosier, Ore., Christopher Elizarde, of San Diego, Calif., Nicholas Elizarde, of San Diego, Calif., and Bailey Hilkey, of Parkdale, Ore; great-grandchildren: Hannah Ayala, of Anchorage, Alaska, Akemi Otte, of Anchorage, Alaska, Aslei Burdett, of Seaside, Ore., Liana Burdett, of Seaside, Ore., Jacob Lowe, of Prineville, Ore., and Rylee Jean Moore, of La Pine, Ore.; brother-in-law, David Hilkey, and sister-in-law, Linda Hilkey, of White Salmon, Wash.; along with several nieces a nephews and their families scattered across the country.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Leona Lee, of Mount Hood; and her brothers William (and Betty) Lee, of Hood River, and James (and Evelyn) Lee, of Mount Hood.

A celebration of life will be held at Mountain Meadow Farm and Gardens in Mount Hood on June 7 at noon.

In lieu of flowers or cards, donations may be made to the Oregon Special Olympics.
