Hazel Rose Parsons passed away in White Salmon on Oct. 17, 2019, at the age of 91. She was born in White Salmon to Vilas Cleveland Bertschi and Cassie Belle Leaton Bertschi on Dec. 30, 1927.
Hazel married Ralph Sealy Parsons in 1950 and worked in park maintenance for the United States Forest Service. She was a member of the Glenwood Women’s Club and the Glenwood Pioneer Association. She loved dancing, cheap beer and farming.
Hazel will be missed by her children Donna Robles of Sedro Woolley, Vera Bruce of White Salmon, and Tim Parsons of BZ Corner; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1978, son Steven Parsons in 1969, son William Parsons in 1999, daughter Bonnie Harris in 2017 and son Ralph “Ed” Parsons in 2019; and siblings Herman “Chester” Bertschi, Luella Ward and Doris Kelly.
Hazel was laid to rest at Mount Adams Cemetery in Glenwood. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at the Glenwood School.
