Harry “Cliff” West, age 68 of Goldendale, passed away on Feb 11, 2019, following a battle with pulmonary fibrosis and a lung transplant.
He along with his twin was born June 24, 1950, in Williamson, W.V., to Lacey and Mable West. They were the youngest to join two other siblings. Cliff served in the US Army before taking on various jobs and eventually becoming a truck driver. He drove over the road before going to work for the local garbage company where he spent 23 years driving garbage truck, mostly in the west end of Klickitat County.
He spent most of his free time with his horses. He enjoyed riding them in the mountains with his dog. He also loved to build stuff rock gardens, small buildings, etc. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Anyone who knew him knows he was your biggest critic and your number one supporter, there weren’t many thoughts he held inside.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lacey and Mable West, and his sister Nioki.
He is survived by wife, Patty West of Goldendale; sons, Clay West and wife Kerrie West of Goldendale, Chris West and wife Nikki West, and Ryan Lenoir, all of Goldendale; daughters Elizabeth Inrocci and Husband Adam of Puyallup, Lacey Vaughn and husband Kurtis Vaughn of Goldendale. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren Jay, Shannon, Felicia, Kaylee, Anastasia, Isaiah, Maddison, Brooklyn, Savannah, Kennedy and three great-grandchildren, along with his brother Larry West and sister Loretta Phipps.
A celebration of life will be held April 6, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Grange in Goldendale. This will be a non-formal potluck gathering; the family is asking that you write down any memories or fun stories to add to the “Memory Box” that the family can read at another time.
