Frances “Fran” M. Gregory, 80, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Columbia Basin Care Facility in The Dalles, Ore. Fran was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Arkansas to Willy and Thelma Carr.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 1 p.m. at Cascade Locks Cemetery, 95 N.W. WaNaPa St., Cascade Locks, OR 97014. Prior to the graveside ceremony there will be time for viewing from 10 a.m. to noon at Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, Ore.
Fran enjoyed reading, cooking, canning and traveling. Fran and her husband Ben along with her daughter Deann and son-in-law Dan Gibson owned and operated the East Wind Drive-In in Cascade Locks from the early 1980s until her retirement.
Fran is survived and will be dearly missed by her sons, Glenn and his wife, Lynda, of Parkdale, Ore., and Tom and his wife, Michaela, of The Dalles; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Gregory, and daughter, Deann Gibson.
Memorials are encouraged to be made in Fran’s name to the National Alzheimer’s Association.
