Evelyn Mae Whitecotton passed away with family by her side on July 23, 2018, at her home in Odell, Ore. Evelyn was born May 22, 1934, and was 84 years of age at the time of her passing.
Evelyn was born in Portland, Ore. She grew up in Hood River and attended schools there.
In 1956, Evelyn married Bob Whitecotton in Hood River. They have been married for 62 years. She loved her family and spending time with all her grandchildren. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a mighty prayer warrior. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
At the age of 40, she received her nursing degree. She loved taking care of people and after retiring, she continued to work at Parkhurst House, where she continued her care for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Danny and Emmi Price; brother, Don; and step-sister, Laura Lee. Evelyn is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Whitecotton; children, Mick, Kathy, Roger and Tim; and 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A service to honor and celebrate Evelyn’s life is planned for 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at Anderson’s Tribute Center (Funerals • Receptions • Cremations), 1401 Belmont Avenue, Hood River. Visit www.AndersonsTributeCenter.com to leave a note of condolence for the family.
