Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Evelyn Anne (Hayes) Tyler passed away on Jan. 3, 2018, from metastatic brain cancer. Anne was born on Jan. 19, 1947, in White Salmon to Gene and Evelyn (Robertson) Hayes.
She was raised there and graduated from Columbia High School in 1965. Not long after graduation, she moved to Alaska where she met Robert “Bob” Tyler, her husband of 48 years.
They had many adventures in their early life together which often included fishing and shooting muzzleloaders. They raised two daughters in Alaska, Sarah, and Kate. Eventually, they moved back to White Salmon to be closer to Anne’s parents.
Anne worked for many years as a medical coder at Skyline Hospital and then at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah.
She loved to spend time with her family, do genealogy, and travel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob who passed away two months earlier.
She is survived by her mother Evelyn Hayes (Spokane); sisters Linda (Raymond) and Patti (Spokane); her brother Mark (Olympia); and two daughters, Sarah (and John) Livingston (Logan, Utah), and Kate (and Justin) Black (Husum); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
