Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Sollman, 84, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital in Hood River, Ore.
Betty was born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., on Dec. 6, 1929, to Roscoe Bartlett and Mary Nichols. In 1956 she moved from Nebraska to Hood River.
In 1960 Betty married Frank Sollman.
Betty worked for Luhr Jensen for 35 years. She enjoyed bowling, collecting lighthouses, and being with her sisters of ESA. Betty’s greatest love was her family. She joined ESA Delta Kappa in 1980 and has held many offices while a member.
Betty is survived by her sons, Raymond Sollman, Carey Sollman and Gary (and his wife, Linda) Sollman, all of Hood River; brothers Ross (and his wife, Kathy) Bartlett and Bob (and his wife, Leanne) Bartlett of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren Sarah, Tanner, Stacy, Halley, Tim, Jeff and Mike; several great-grandchildren and a handful of great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son Melvin and brothers Kenneth and Marvin.
A memorial service for Betty will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Anderson’s Tribute Center, 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River. Donations may be made to the “Betty Sollman Memorial Fund” at any U.S. Bank location.
