Doris Jean Bulick, 66, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Portland, Ore., with her family by her side.
Doris was born June 28, 1946, in Okmulgee, Okla., to Albert E. Crunk Jr. and Beatrice D. (McGraw) Crunk.
Her family will be having a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 19, from 3-5 p.m. at the Hood River Valley Adult Center (Senior Center), 2010 Sterling Place, Hood River (next to Down Manor) and all friends are invited.
Doris grew up in Oklahoma and was married to Glen Hanks from 1962 to 1984; they had one daughter, Belinda.
Doris married Jerry Bulick in 1987 in El Reno, Okla.; they moved to Hood River, in 1989, where they lived happily until Jerry’s passing in 2008.
Doris worked at Walmart for 17 years. She enjoyed collecting Elvis memorabilia and shot glasses, car racing, helping her friends, baking and cooking for family get-togethers, spending time with family and keeping in touch with friends in Oklahoma. Most of all, Doris enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dog, Jasper.
Doris is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children and stepchildren: daughter, Belinda Gabriel; stepsons Howard Bulick (and wife Caitlin Cray) and Bruce Bulick (and wife, Leisa); stepdaughter, Alison Gilroy (and husband, David); sister, Nancy Alferos; brother, James Crunk; eight grandchildren: Erica Barr, Nigel Bond, Michael Gabriel, Eddy Bulick, Beau Bulick, Devin Bulick, Brandi Gilroy and Justin Gilroy; four great-grandchildren: Dezmond Bishop, Ryker Barr, Garrett Barr and Evelyn Bond; nieces Michelle Holmes and Cristine Fergerson; nephew, Carl Holmes, and a host of other distant family and friends collected over the years.
