Crystal Ann Hutchinson

While in the Air Force she was an airman who worked in electronics and met her future husband, Mike. After discharge from the Air Force, Crystal worked as an electrician, was an artist and in 2008 went back to school to become a licensed massage therapist.

At the time of her death she was concentrating on her massage business in Hood River, Ore. She also did a lot of artwork with fused glass and stained glass, selling her artwork throughout the Gorge.

Crystal met her husband, Michael, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., and then moved to Oregon, the Medford area. She and Mike moved back to Michigan, where her first two sons were born.

In the 1980s Crystal, Mike, Jeremiah and Steve moved to Oregon. They lived in the Gorge, where she had her third son, David. Mike built their log cabin in Mosier where she, Mike and their dogs lived at the time of her death.

Crystal thoroughly enjoyed life. She made everyone smile that was around her, she had a radiant personality. Her hobbies included artwork, traveling, spending time with her family, reading, taking walks with her dogs and her spiritual retreats.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael Richard Hutchinson, of Mosier, whom she married July 10, 1977, in Medford, Ore.; her sons, Jeremiah Hutchinson and his wife, Bobbie, of The Dalles, Ore., Steve Hutchinson and his fiancée, Sherilynn, of Hood River, and David Hutchinson and girlfriend, Crystal, of Mosier.

She is also survived by her mother, Florence Bay, of Clare, Mich., brothers Lorne Bay and his wife, Sandy, and Lynn Bay and his wife, Cheryl; sisters Vicki Gilreath, Cindy Bay-Barron and Viola Wild and her husband, Grant, all of Michigan; and her grandchildren: Daniel and Kimberlee France, of The Dalles, Ore. She touched the lives of many people and had many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Bay.

There will be a private family gathering at the home of Mike and Crystal Hutchinson.
