Barton Eugene Crall was born to Mildred Viola (Penniston) and John Chauncey Crall on May 19, 1938, in Port Angeles. He married Janice Ann Bunnell in Vancouver on Sept. 25, 1973, and the couple moved to Castle Rock.
In 1976, they moved to Hood River, Ore. As an entrepreneur, Bart owned and operated several businesses with his wife. In 1980 they bought the building on Jewett Blvd. in White Salmon, which included The Sports Shop, The Liquor Store, Jan’s Pantry, and later A & A Video and Vehicle Licensing office.
Mr. Crall enjoyed reading fiction, doing puzzles, visiting his Long Beach property and “putzing around.” Bart was involved in the community as a member of the Lions Club, serving on the Rhine Village Board, and as a county volunteer.
He passed away at his home in Klickitat on May 2, 2019, at the age of 80.
Mr. Crall is survived by his wife Jan Crall of Klickitat; children and their spouses Nanette Womack (John) of Rainier, Ore., Diana Treichel (Tom) of Longview, Andrew Crall (Faith) of Vancouver, Eric Eytcheson (Courtney) of Silver Lake, and Matthew Crall (Lindsey) of Ormond Beach, Fla.; sisters Linda Horenstein, Robin Cox-Gunter and brother John Allen Crall; many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son David Crall.
