State Street work resumes on Sept. 2

This work will include removal of overhead wires and power poles, completion of the remaining sidewalks and retaining walls, construction of the public restrooms at Third and State streets, installation of street lights, trees, benches, and planter boxes, and placement of the final lift of asphalt paving and street striping.

As work progresses, sections of State Street from Front to 6th will be closed to traffic as required for the completion of these tasks. Drivers are advised to avoid the work zone, and can expect delays of up to 15 minutes due to traffic backups and congestion.
