John Wells, Hood River Supply’s board chairman, announced last week that Michele Jacobs of Prosser, Wash., has been named Hood River Supply’s new president\CEO to succeed Pat McAllister upon his retirement in mid-May.
Jacobs is a veteran management professional with over 25 years of progressive experience in private and public companies, including general manager for The Grange Supply in Issaquah, Wash., and director of Retail Operations for Bleyhl CO-OP in Grandview, Wash.
Jacobs will start her new position on or before May 1, and work to create a smooth transition with McAllister, Wells noted in a press release.
“Our goal is to create a seamless transition in leadership from myself to Michele,” McAllister stated in the release. “I’m familiar with Michele’s past record of success and looking forward to her continuing to build on the success Hood River Supply has had over the past three decades. It’s extremely important to have a smooth transition in the ever-changing times we are facing with the COVID-19 virus and economy.”
Jacobs stated in the release that she is “passionate about growth and innovation,” and plans to use her teamwork and management skills to create and implement operational efficiencies across multiple stores while managing remodels, resets and store conversions.
“Her motivation for efficacy is matched by her down-to-earth dedication to customer relations and employee success,” said Wells.
Hood River Supply operates stores on the Heights in Hood River, and in John Weber Business Park, Odell.
