BINGEN — Bingen City Council heard an update on the downtown flood recovery process, which is nearing completion, at the Sept. 15 meeting.

Carmen’s Kitchen’s claim is settled and the restaurant has reopened. As of press time, city insurer RMSA was awaiting paperwork from Chips’ and Mugs’ owners to finalize the settlement; Chips was set to reopen on Sept. 17.
