THE DALLES — The No. 5-ranked The Dalles High Riverhawks volleyball squad split two games last week and yet remain tied for first in the OSAA Class 4A Tri-Valley Conference.

The Riverhawks (6-1 TVC, 13-5 overall) lost 3-1 to the No. 3-ranked Crook County High Cowgirls (6-1 TVC, 19-5 overall) Oct. 8 at Crook County High School in Prineville. The Riverhawks bounced back and won 3-0 at home Oct. 9 over Madras High (3-4 TVC, 5-10 overall). The Riverhawks have two games left on the TVC regular season schedule, including a 6 p.m. road matchup Thursday versus the Estacada High Rangers (5-2 TVC, 11-7 overall). The Riverhawks will play at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay on Saturday.
