NORTH BONNEVILLE — Columbia High swept Stevenson in a dual cross country meet Oct. 10 in North Bonneville.
The Bruins, led by the individual win of senior Noah Slayton, won the boys meet, 15-50. Slayton won the 3,000-meter race in 10 minutes, 13 seconds. Sophomore Lilah Zimmerman was the girls' winner, covering the course on Strawberry Island in 11:51. The Bruin girls won, 21-36.
Zimmerman, Kathryn O’Connor (12:14), and Helen Hoskins (12:18) finished 1-2-3 for Columbia, which also received a team-scoring placing (top five) from Maya Tama (sixth) and Eda O’Connor (ninth).
Cole Wooding, Luther Thomas, Milo Hoppus, Jack Brooks, Haven Stageberg, and Colby Clark finished second through seventh for Columbia, in a nicely bunched pack from 10:36 to 10:56.
