The Gorge Commission's Public Outreach staff has prepared a presentation on the National Scenic Area that is now available to Gorge-area service clubs, schools and other interested organizations.

The presentation leads off with a 15-minute slide show that summarizes the history and makeup of the Scenic Area, and the roles that the Gorge Commission and U.S. Forest Service and its agency partners -- the six Gorge counties, four Gorge tribes, and numerous state and federal agencies -- play in regulating land use outside of the Gorge's 13 urban areas. The slide show is followed by a question-answer period where audience members can discuss Scenic Area issues.
