Huskies leave John Day with a 2-1 record

Sherman senior Treve Martin and the Sherman Huskies scored 29 runs in three games at the 2018 Iron Triangle Tournament in John Day and posted a record of 2-1, ending with a 13-0 mercy-ruled victory over 3A Nyssa Saturday. In four games, spanning 22 innings, the No. 21-ranked Huskies have racked up 43 runs. The team looks to keep its offensive outburst going with a road contest slated for 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3 against Stanfield in a non-league varsity baseball contest from Stanfield High School.

Steamed after a heartbreaking, one-run loss to Homedale, ID., the Sherman Huskies took their frustrations out on Nyssa in a 13-0 mercy-ruled drubbing in final-day baseball action at the 2018 Iron Triangle Tournament Saturday in John Day.

In all, Sherman rapped out 11 hits, six for extra bases, and received four walks and had two batters hit by pitches.
