Raceway Park offers training day March 15

The morning classroom for course worker recruits will include track procedures, radio protocol and essentials of course control; this is followed by fire suppression practice.

The afternoon curriculum provides actual experience in working the turn stations.

“We train in real time with cars on course,” said Murray. “We are very proud of the course personnel this program has produced and the high quality support staff we offer our event presenters.”

“Worker training is free, and is the first step to employment as part of the O.R.P. track support team,” according to Murray. Persons interested in attending are asked to pre-register with the track office at 541-333-2452.
