Accidents

Wasco County

July 9, 10:59 a.m. – Single vehicle versus pedestrian, injury crash, 4500 block of Highway 30. Danny Lewis, 66, 4653 Highway 30 was the involved driver. Lewis struck a subject in a motorized wheel chair in the area. The victim was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

July 9, 12:11 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 79 on a report of a vehicle fire. The area was checked and no problem was found.

July 9, 1:31 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1100 block of West 6th Street on a report of a gas odor. Upon arrival nothing was showing. Contact was made with an employee who advised they had a pilot light go out and their repair man fixed the issue.

Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A theft report was taken Tuesday morning from the 300 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported his debit and credit cards were missing from his wallet.

An identity theft report was taken Tuesday morning from the 800 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported someone fraudulently spent money on her credit card.

A criminal trespass report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 400 block of East 7th Street after an employee reported a female suspect refused to leave. Subject was removed from property and transported to the hospital for an evaluation.

Linda Aurora Harrison, 29, 1311 Jefferson St., was arrested Tuesday evening in the 700 block of Court Street and is accused of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree disorderly conduct, unlawful possession of inhalants, and resisting arrest.

A robbery report was taken Tuesday evening from the 500 block of West 9th Street after a victim reported two subjects jumped him in an alley and took some of his possessions; the incident is under investigation.

Wasco County

Floyd Smith, 50, Portland, was arrested early Tuesday morning during a traffic stop on East 9th and H streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

Lian Yang Chen, 41, Portland, was transported by Multnomah County and jailed after being arrested on a Sherman County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Ryan Philip Reta, 30, 304 East 8th Pl. unit B, was transported by Deschutes County and jailed after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Parole and Probation

Jon Atone Peat, 51, 2003 East 15th St., was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
