In an Aug. 22 story headlined “DeVaney declines jail job,” the Chronicle incorrectly reported that outgoing Jail Administrator Bryan Brandenburg had signed a three-month contract to serve as consultant to a new administrator. No contract had been signed. A proposed contract was presented to the board Aug. 28, but was since no administrator was hired that contract was scrapped and no action taken. Brandenburg announced in June he was leaving to return to Alaska to be closer to family.
The Dalles City
Aug. 27, 6:06 p.m. – Vehicle versus pedestrian, non-injury crash, 700 block of Pomona Street. Caller reported she was struck by a vehicle as it was backing out of a parking spot. A report was taken.
Oregon State Police
Aug. 27, 1:32 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 132. Driver struck a deer. The crash was logged.
Aug. 29, 12:51 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 104. Elderly male driver began driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of travel crashing head on into an oncoming vehicle. Suspect driver was cited for reckless driving. Driver of the other vehicle was life flighted to a hospital in Washington for non-life threatening injuries. A report was taken.
Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue
Aug. 27, 7:24 a.m. – Crew responded to the 1300 block of East 14th Place on a burn complaint. Crew arrived on scene to a resident using a barbeque to cook his breakfast. He agreed it was smoky and he would discontinue to use it. No problem was found.
Aug. 29, 9:18 a.m. – Crew responded to East 12th and Federal streets on a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival a vehicle was found fully involved with flames in the passenger area. The fire was extinguished.
The agency also responded to 14 calls for emergency medical services on Aug. 27, six on Aug. 28, and three on Aug. 29.
The Dalles City
A runaway report was taken Aug. 27 from The Dalles.
A hit and run report was taken Aug. 27 from East 3rd and Laughlin streets.
Christopher Ryan Fletcher, 40, Condon, was arrested Aug. 27 near West 2nd and Webber streets and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass and second-degree disorderly conduct.
Police responded to a local residence in The Dalles after a caller reported she was involved in a physical dispute with her mother-in-law. A report was taken.
A theft report was taken Aug. 27 from a residence in The Dalles after a victim reported her roommate stole some money from her. The incident is under investigation.
An agency assist report was taken Aug. 28 from the 3800 block of West 6th Street after assisting Klickitat County search for a stolen vehicle.
Jose Ernesto Garcia, 43, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 28 in the 1900 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct and two counts of probation violation.
Police responded to the hospital Aug. 28 after staff reported a juvenile patient was being combative toward staff. A report was taken.
A found property report was taken Aug. 28 from the 2500 block of West 8th Street after a caller reported finding a bicycle on her property.
A burglary report was taken Aug. 28 from the 700 block of Snipes Street after a victim reported his storage unit was broken into.
A stolen vehicle report was taken Aug. 28 from the 200 block of Webber Street.
Tyson Allen Billy, 27, Athena, was arrested Aug. 28 near East 3rd and Laughlin streets and is accused of providing false information to a police officer.
Karen Louise Scherf, 54, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 28 during a traffic stop near East 10th and Federal streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Julie Ann Scherf, 48, The Dalles, was also arrested and is accused of probation violation.
A hazard tow report was taken Aug. 29 from East 12th and Federal streets after a vehicle was removed from the street after catching fire.
Robert Alan Davidson, 32, Lyle, Wash., was arrested Aug. 29 in the 700 block of Court Street and is accused of two counts of probation violation.
A theft report was taken Aug. 29 from the 400 block of East 2nd Street.
Police responded to the 600 block of West 2nd Street Aug. 29 after an intoxicated juvenile was found. Juvenile was placed into custody as he became violent and damaged the patrol vehicle. Subject was cited for second-degree criminal mischief and released to his mother. A report was taken.

Allessandria Elizabeth Adkison, 22, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 29 in the 2900 block of East 2nd Street and is accused of first-degree disorderly conduct, interference with a police officer, and failure to present and carry an operator’s license. Kylie Trevor McCroskey, 23, The Dalles, was also arrested and is accused of interference with a police officer, first-degree disorderly conduct, assault on a public safety officer, menacing, improper use of 911 and resisting arrest.
John Richard Bradley, 40, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 29 near Taylor Lake and is accused of probation violation.
A missing person report was taken Aug. 29 from the 3200 block of Bret Clodfelter Way.
Wasco County
Brandon Blake Bischof, 41, Hood River, was arrested Aug. 27 during a traffic stop on Highway 197 near milepost 18 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.
A stolen vehicle report was taken Aug. 27 from Dufur after a victim reported a suspect was supposed to pay for a motorcycle but never did. The incident is under investigation.
A theft report was taken Aug. 27 from the 2400 block of Fairview Street after a victim reported some equipment was stolen from his property.
An abandoned vehicle report was taken Aug. 28 from Threemile and Pleasant Ridge roads. The vehicle was impounded.
A criminal trespass report was taken Aug. 29 form Dufur after a caller reported capturing video of a suspect trespassing on his property.
Oregon State Police
Blake Richard Schnebly, 25, Longview, Wash., was arrested Aug. 27 during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 80 and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of cocaine, unlawful possession of cocaine, three counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, and five counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Steven James Pardue, 64, Welches, was arrested Aug. 30 during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 66 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended.
Gilliam County
Ty Cody Davies, 25, Arlington, was arrested Aug. 27 in Arlington and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass and post-prison violations.
Adrian J. Dady, 29, Portland, was jailed Aug. 27 on a court commitment for driving while suspended.
Alyssa Marie Duarte, 33, The Dalles, was jailed Aug. 28 on a court commitment for first-degree criminal mistreatment.
Tiffany Maria Barajas, 25, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 27 in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
Jill Michella Nevins, 40, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 28 in the community corrections office and is accused of two counts of probation violation.
Kevin Ray Flowers, 51, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 28 in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
Larry Raymond Dorr, 46, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 28 in the community corrections office and is accused of three counts of probation violation.
Michael Kozeni, 39, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 29 in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
James Earl Mulvaney, 24, The Dalles, was arrested Aug. 29 in the community corrections office and is accused of four counts of post-prison violations.
