An Ariel, Wash., resident is being charged in Sherman County following a 40-mile high-speed pursuit at speeds reaching higher than 150 miles per hour.

On March 18, at about 2:50 p.m., Sherman County Deputy Geremy Shull was working radar on Interstate 84 near Biggs when a 2012 KTM 1190 motorcycle passed his location doing more than 100 mph. Shull attempted to stop the motorcycle, however the bike began to accelerate and pass vehicles. Shull pursued the motorcycle at speeds topping 150 mph until taking the Philippi exit near milepost 123 on I-84 and heading back toward Biggs.
