Free commentary: Since launching in July 2025, RecycleOn Oregon has supported the collection and delivery of approximately 530 million pounds of materials to recycling sorting facilities across Oregon in its first year — including approximately 704 tons in The Dalles and 639 tons in Hood River.

Free news: Residents in Hood River and The Dalles have two new free places to recycle materials not accepted in curbside recycling carts. The new centers help reduce contamination in recycling and increase the number of items recycled.
