(The Center Square) - Millions of Americans celebrated America 250, Sail250 events in key ports, boarding scores of ships that sailed thousands of nautical miles to celebrate the 250th anniversary of American independence.
(The Center Square) – As a record-breaking heat wave sweeps across the central and eastern United States, two cities central to American independence have canceled July 4 celebrations.
(The Center Square) – The federal government has planned a day packed with events commemorating the nation's highly anticipated 250th birthday, including an address from President Donald Trump before a massive fireworks show kicks off Saturday night.

(The Center Square) – In celebration of the 250th anniversary of American independence, the White House has launched mobile initiatives to bring American history to the public who aren’t able to travel to Washington, D.C.Â
America only turns 250 once, and this summer the milestone is giving travelers the perfect excuse to swap the backyard barbecue for a bucket-list getaway. As communities prepare special events to mark the nation’s semiquincentennial, the Fourth of July is expected to be a busy travel season.
