MORO – Whenever a big hit was needed, Sherman’s 7-8-9 hitters stood tall. The trio of Wade Fields, Jacob Shandy and Diego Valdez combined to go 7 for 10 with a walk, a hit by pitch, eight runs scored and six RBIs, as the No. 10-ranked Huskies scored five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to defeat Heppner in Blue Mountain Conference baseball action Tuesday in Moro.

DUFUR – The No. 10-ranked Huskies scored six first-inning runs and rode the pitching of Trey and Cal Homer to secure a 13-0 mercy-ruled victory over Dufur in a non-league baseball contest played Friday at Dufur City Park.

MORO – Forging ahead without injured all-state catcher Bradley Moe Sherman head coach Joe Justesen has had to move players around with hopes of finding the right fit for the stretch run. Since Moe’s injury, the No. 7-ranked Huskies have won four of their last five games, including an 11-4 opening-round state playoff victory Wednesday in Moro against No. 10 Kennedy.
