An alternate two-piece uniform consisting of compression shorts or shorts designed for wrestling and a form-fitted compression shirt has been approved for the 2017-18 season in high school wrestling. This revision to Rule 4-1-1 was one of 11 rules changes recommended by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Wrestling Rules Committee at its meeting in Indianapolis, and all changes were subsequently approved by the NFHS Board of Directors.

Emily Johnson, Chloe Bullock and Ellie Rising have enjoyed a successful summer under the sun. After last weekend’s performance in Portland, the summer just got a little better. At the USATF Junior Olympic State Championships at Jesuit High School, the local trio of runners representing Athletics East all scored top-10 finishes to advance to regional competition in Seattle.
