Free news: The expanded declaration now authorizes federal Public Assistance funding for 11 Oregon counties impacted by the December 2025 atmospheric river event, including Hood River and Wasco counties.Â
A severe thunderstorm struck the Gorge Thursday night, bringing thunder, lightning, and at least one big tree falling across the road. The storm cut power to about 2,000 customers, Northern Wasco County PUD announced.
