If you missed the Homesteader’s Fair you missed out on one of the most active and fun events of the year. There was a huge turnout of over 30 vendor booths filling the park and even more activities inside the Activity Center. The Twin Bridges Museum’s doors were open and their offer of a hearty breakfast of biscuits and gravy downstairs was a success and brought many new visitors upstairs to the museum itself. Both Lyle and High Prairie fire departments demonstrated techniques and let the children have a go at holding the fire hose. Other demonstrations were fly tying, blacksmithing, soap making, farming with draft horses, a traveling museum with display boards and hands on fun with gold panning, and baby animals; all this and more was topped with two food vendors and live music from four different bands taking turns entertaining the crowd.
