Jaelyn Justesen racked up 16 of her 18 points in the first three quarters as the Sherman Huskies used that outburst to jump ahead in that span, 41-26, to secure a 55-40 girls’ hoops win Saturday in Moro.

The Dufur Rangers had lost four of their last five games and were on the outside of the district picture looking in. After Tuesday’s 47-44 win over Sherman, the Lady Rangers are one game behind Sherman and Horizon Christian for the fourth and final district spot with four games left on the schedule.

The shots were not falling for the Sherman Huskies. As a team, they shot 14 of 61 from the floor, 10 for 34 in the second half, and made 4 of 14 free throws in a 64-33 loss to Hosanna Christian on the first day of the Holiday Hoops Classic Friday in Klamath Falls.
