The Echo Cougars claimed the 2019 Big Sky Conference championship in three sets over two-time champions South Wasco County Redsides, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-22, in varsity volleyball action from Echo High School.

A five-game loss to Echo seemed to rejuvenate the South Wasco County Redsides.

SWC continued its solid early-season league run with back-to-back sweep wins over Condon (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) and Dufur (25-11, 25-23, 25-16) to stay ahead in the league standings by one game.
