La Grande racked up 499 yards of offense on 39 plays and scored on its first 10 possessions to defeat The Dalles by a 68-0 margin Saturday in 4A OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union football action in Hermiston.

DUFUR – No matter the sport, teams have the tendency to look too far ahead when it comes to facing an opponent they have previously beaten by a large margin. Not the Dufur Rangers. Dufur racked up 505 yards of offense and the defense allowed six first downs, 95 yards of offense, posted six sacks and forced 16 negative-yardage plays in a 54-2 drubbing of Falls City Friday in a 1A state football contest played in Dufur.

In four games so far this season, the Dufur Rangers have racked up 32 runs scored, including 23 in their last two wins. Tuesday in Umatilla, Josh Keyser went 4 for 4 and Cole Parke pounded a home run and four RBIs to spearhead Dufur’s 18-hit attack in a 10-2 victory over the 3A Vikings in varsity baseball play.
