To the editor: Jesus was a Jew. The word “Christian” is used twice in the New Testament, never by Jesus. Are Jews being persecuted? Only those who claim to be Jews and disobey God’s commands. But those who obey the laws are governed by God alone, and cannot be persecuted by anyone.
To the editor: I have had the privilege of knowing, and working with Wasco County judges, and commissioners, for more than 40 years. The current Wasco County commission is, and has been, effective, responsible, and has gained needed experience.
On Jan. 21, Riverside Community Church will launch an eight-week series on Sunday mornings entitled “White Privilege, Let’s Talk: A Resource for Transformational Dialogue.”
To the editor: I would like to share with you an experience I have never had before. Last week I ended up in the Mid-Columbia Medical Center’s emergency room. I liked it so much that within a few hours I was back for seconds. This time I got bumped up to ICU, where I was until Saturday.
To the editor: Once again, I had the privilege of volunteering for the Salvation Army’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner. What a wonderful event this is for the community. I feel so blessed to be part of such a caring town. Thank you Major Tammy, ReAnn and all you wonderful people who made this happen. See you again next year.
