Thumbs Up Sewer rates unchanged The Dalles City Council rolled back a planned sewer rate increase of 3.44 percent, after staffers reported the budget was looking good for continued improvements to the wastewater treatment plant. Also, for the first time in a decade, residents weren’t called on this year to pay more for water services.

Gorge postmark now available

Customers at The Dalles Post Office can now request a Columbia Gorge postmark. All that is needed to obtain the free postmark at each of the seven locations is a stamped envelope or card. Post Offices in Bridal Veil, Cascade Locks, Corbett, Hood River, Mosier and Troutdale also have the postmarks available at customers’ request.
