So the other day, when I had this truly brilliant idea that would not only reverse climate change, but also bring back the tan M&Ms, I had an equally BAD idea that it was unnecessary to write down the good idea because there was no way I was going to forget it.
To the editor: Three members of Oregon’s five-member congressional delegation are skipping in protest of the presidential Inauguration. Perhaps they should look at how much of Oregon is red versus blue; that many Oregonian’s don’t approve of their politics. Their issue of closing down logging, mining, fishing, which result in the loss of jobs everywhere except in the “high tech” corridor that enjoys so many tax free benefits and incentives while we pay for new highways, schools, and infrastructure support.
To the editor: Shame on You Wasco County! The county seems to have some major issues. Is the county using my tax payer dollars to hire extra auditors, lawyers and staff to prove a point? The many articles that have appeared in our paper are ridiculous and quite embarrassing to me as a citizen of Wasco County. It’s nothing but a “he did”, “she did”, “he said”, “she said,” it makes the ones that are in charge of running our county look incompetent.
To the editor: Considering the continuing large increases in the city budget year after year that is way out of control and most of the tax payers and rate payers cannot afford especially with this economy.
To the editor: I, Taner Elliott, am running to be your next city councilor. If you are ready for a change and looking for someone to slow your vastly increasing water and sewer rates then we see eye to eye.
Dear Mary: In one of your columns that I read years ago, you recommended paying your rent (or mortgage) first, because landlords are quick to evict. I just wanted to confirm this point, but also say that I wish I would have taken that advice to heart.
