FREE NEWS: In July, the Wy’East fire district, serving Odell, Pine Grove and the area east of Hood River in the lower valley, got hit by a check-washing thief. Now protection will cost the district $1,020 a year.
Marcus Swift sat in the law office of attorney Dale Riesberg in the early ‘90s. A lot. He was just a kid then in Crofton, Nebraska. Money was tight. His single mom struggled: the attorney helped his mother with collections and legal advice.
Klickitat County has the third fastest-growing income in Washington State, ranking 214th among counties in the country, according to a report issued by Smart Asset, a company specializing in financial data analysis. Under the heading “Most Paycheck Friendly Places,” SmartAsset lists Klickitat County as having an average semi-monthly paycheck of $1,687.
