Back-in parking coming to south side of Jewett

Back-in parking will soon be the norm on the south side of Jewett Boulevard in downtown White Salmon. The City Council unanimously passed an amendment to the parking code on June 1 that calls for back-in parking on Jewett’s south side between S 1st Avenue and the entrance to the Hi-School Pharmacy and Ace Hardware carpark.

WSDOT proposes solution to safety issues on SR 141

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced Tuesday it is proposing to install edge line rumble strips along the north shoulder of State Route 141 to address safety concerns voiced by pedestrians and bicyclists.
