El Mercado del Valle was closed July 26 because of the Hood River County Fair, but rest assured, it will be back Aug. 2 in the covered play area at Mid Valley Elementary. The market will have a new time — 3 to 7 p.m. — for the rest of the summer; the market ends Sept. 20.
The Pine Grove-Odell United Methodist Church will be worshiping at the Pine Grove church site on Eastside Road in June, July and August. Services begin at 10 a.m., and everyone is invited to attend.
Wy’east Middle School will host Art Night for the Family Feb. 27 beginning at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. “Families are invited to join us as we offer different make ‘n’ take art projects they can experience together, making for a fun family night out,” says school representative Teri Adams. Odell Garden Club President Norma Curtis invites everyone “interested in gardening and having a great social group” to join. The club not only holds educational meetings and sponsors flower shows, but does a lot of volunteer work in the community as well.
