To the editor: I am writing on behalf of Nora Ferguson regarding the position of County Commissioner position 1. I have gotten to know Nora quite well and can thoroughly vouch for her character and abilities. She has a pleasant and positive attitude and is a team player.
To the editor: As former Wasco County employees, we read with much interest the letter to the editor from Ed Hall, published in the Sunday, May 6, 2014, edition of The Dalles Chronicle. We have several friends who are current and former employees of Wasco County, and their feelings echo the sentiments indicated by Mr. Hall.
To the editor: It’s time to shed some sunlight on Wasco County and do some spring cleaning by replacing the two incumbent do-nothing Commissioners who promise only more of the same. We need a change.
To the editor: To ensure the good changes already accomplished and the many more to come, we need to reelect Scott Hege and Rod Runyon.
To the editor: Nora Ferguson will receive my vote for county commissioner. I’ve worked with Nora Ferguson for six years and had the opportunity to serve on the same board. Nora possesses all the qualities needed to be a great commissioner. She has integrity and is not intimidated by others.
For many years, Wasco County elected offices have been decided simply because no one bothered to run against the incumbent and voters had only one choice.
To the editor: As longtime resident of Wasco County, when we heard Nora Ferguson declared her candidacy for Wasco County Commissioner Position 1 my wife and I were thrilled. We first met Nora when our grandchildren were attending Colonel Wright Elementary School. We were impressed with Nora’s devotion to her work and genuine concern for the well being of everyone around her.
To the editor: As a mother, school employee, and longtime resident of Wasco County, I am writing to offer my endorsement for Nora Ferguson for the office of Wasco County Commissioner, Position 1. Having known Nora for a number of years, I can personally attest to her exemplary qualities. Nora has lived in Wasco County for the last 10 years, and in that time has raised a family, owned her own business, and worked for the North Wasco County School District.
Wasco County Commissioner Position 1 candidate Nora Ferguson said she’s a team player and collaborator who focuses on relationship-building and getting things done. She faces first-term incumbent Scott Hege in the May 20 primary election. The winner will be the sole candidate in the November general election.
