Voting statewide will become even more convenient in 2016. Starting Jan. 1, Oregon Motor Voter, the state’s new voter registration law, will take effect and automatic voter registration will be available to those who are eligible to register to vote and apply for an original, renewal, or replacement license, permit, or ID card at the DMV. Once someone applies for a license, they will receive a card and a pre-paid postage return envelope from the Oregon State Elections Office.
